BE PREPARED
We advise you to prepare yourself physically for the hunt. Hunting can be a demanding sport and can require a lot of hiking in hills and rough terrain. Being more fit will allow you to better acclimate to our higher altitudes. We also upon request offer horseback and limited atv hunting.
CLOTHING - Bring clothing that can be layered. Our weather can change very suddenly. Bring comfortable, lightweight, waterproof hiking boots as well as insulated winter snow boots. Gloves for warmth and protection from moisture as well as warm head gear should be carried at all times. Jackets and heavy overcoats are recommended. Plan to dress in layers and don't forget your orange clothing...hats, vests etc.
RIFLES & SCOPES - Don't forget them! We suggest that you sight in your rifle at 200yds. You can reasonably expect shots from 50 to 400 yards. Scope covers and quality scopes that will resist fogging in high humidity conditions such as rain and snow are recommended. Giving yourself time to shoot your gun a bit before the hunt would also be advised. A good pair of binoculars should be brought along too.
MUSTS -Licenses with conservations stamps, hunter safety card (if you were born after January 1st 1949), knives, a supply of any medications you need, incidentals, a list of emergency contacts and pertinent personal information,
We will send a full list of items suggested for you to pack in your Welcome Packet once you book your hunt.
